Just a quick note to let you in on this:
With the holidays just around the corner, one of my favorite Italian food bloggers, Manuela Zangara of Manu’s Menus, has come out with an e-cookbook entitled Manu’s Christmas Menus. This delightful little volume includes twenty original recipes, helpfully arranged into four menus for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
With dishes that range from the traditional to the innovative, and drawing on culinary traditions from all over Italy—whether the classic Neapolitan insalata di rinforzo (Cauliflower Salad) for Christmas Eve or a sinfully rich Chocolate and Orange Ganache Crostata to close out New Year’s lunch, a hearty Flank Steak Roll or an elegant spumante risotto—you’re bound to find something for every taste. There are recipes for all skill levels, too, from an easy orange and lettuce salad to a sophisticated cotechino en croûte. Each recipe is illustrated with step-by-step illustrations, so you really can’t go wrong. In the coming weeks, I’ll be cooking at least one of these recipes and posting the result.
If any of this whets your appetite—and I’m pretty sure it will—you should head on over to Manu’s Menu and pick up your copy. Manu’s Christmas Menus is available for Kindle, on epub on pdf. And at $5.99 for the Kindle edition and $3.76 for the epub or pdf formats, it’s a real steal.
